Recent Program Updates at the LibraryPress@UF
Time to Reflect
For me, December is always a time to finish things, clean-up, prep for the new year, and take stock, reflecting on what we’ve accomplished. In other years, this has meant sorting paper files, shredding old documents, and dusting my office. While those things are different, I am doing my normal project closing work, documentation updates, and preparing for new projects and timelines to start after the break. In taking stock of little to big projects and our LibraryPress@UF program, we have so much to celebrate! In addition to having our full team on board for the year, we moved into our new office space, and published a lot (book, multiple issues of SOURCE, journals, and more!). We’ve also seen two title changes to best reflect the program and work scope, with Chelsea Johnston now the Scholarly Publishing & Repository Librarian and Perry Collins now the Copyright & OER Librarian. We’ve seen tremendous growth in the use of UFLib Domains for core library needs and new collaborative publications, and we’ve updated workflows to support usage, with Library Technology Services is now part of the support team for creating accounts.
I am so thankful for our team, work, and the new year to come!
